Hours : Full-time hours are 37 hours per week excluding lunch breaks. Minimum of 30 minutes unpaid lunch break to be taken by staff working 6 hours or more per day. Hours to be worked by staff on part-time contracts will be agreed on appointment.
Probationary Period : All posts are subject to a 6 month probationary period.
Pension : Pension scheme available for all staff following 3 months employment. Age UK North Staffordshire pays 5% contribution and employee a minimum of 2.5%.
Holidays : In addition to public holidays, full-time employees are entitled to 25 days holiday (for Senior Management) on full pay for each completed leave year (pro rata for each partial leave year). An additional day’s holiday is given for each full year served prior to the start of the holiday year, up to a maximum of 5 years. The maximum entitlement for all staff is 28 days per annum. Part-time staff have leave entitlement pro rata to days worked.
Expenses : Travel expenses when using own vehicle for work activities, reimbursed on a monthly basis at 40 pence per mile. (This does not include travel to/from normal place of work).
Time off in lieu : Occasional evening or weekend work may be necessary for which time off in lieu will be given.
Sickness Absence : Entitlement to payment during sickness absence increases incrementally over the first 2 years of employment to a maximum of 6 weeks full time pay and 6 weeks half pay
